
Meet The Baker
Hello and thank you for checking out my website! My name is Josh Easter and I started Slice Celebration Cakes in January 2025. Slice is all about amazing tasting, freshly baked cakes made just for you, with the best possible ingredients in a spotlessly clean purpose built kitchen space.
I've been passionate about Food and experimenting in the kitchen all my life and feel lucky to be able to support my young family doing what I enjoy.
I have worked in the professional bakery/cafe industry for over 14 years and hold a Level 3 Food Hygiene and Safety Certificate and Food Allergy and Intolerance Training Certificate.
It all started when I joined the Family business in 2011 at my Dads Bakery, Easters Bakery Ltd in New Costessey, where I picked up the tips and tricks needed to create fresh, tasty cakes in a very busy but well organised environment alongside learning a high standard for food hygiene.
In 2022 I moved onto an independent Cafe, Woods Coffee Bar in Sprowston, where I took over the kitchen making all the baked goods as well as cooking to order a fresh and varied Brunch Menu. Over the past 3 years the Cafe has become a very busy local spot and when the cakes started selling out every week, we then expanded and created The Secret Bake Norwich, at which I make hundreds of different epic bakes and received amazing feedback from our customers.
At the start of 2025 I had an idea, and with the support of my amazing better half Fran, decided to turn an unused room in our home in New Costessey into a mini Bakery so that I can make Celebration Cakes. Once the works were complete, Slice was registered and approved by the council, insured as a business and launched! The kitchen space is fully fitted out to the standard of a professional cake bakery so I can make you the best possible cake.
